BAMBOO FLOORING is treated with a steaming and heating process,dehydrated and oven stoved. Anti-insect and anti-mildew processes are applied to avoid the reproduction of bacteria and the allergic reaction before the laminating and heat pressing begins.

The board is then formed, after which Ultraviolet ray treatment of high UV photofixation specialised lacquer is applied. In all, there are 28 different processes involved in the manufacturing of bamboo flooring boards. The most rigorous quality checks are made at every stage.

INSTALLATION OF BAMBOO FLOORING

This Bamboo Flooring is a beautiful and durable parquet flooring.Environmental friendly manufactured, using the best manufacturing equipment .The installer must be careful to protect the Bamboo flooring from gaining moisture before, during and after the installation of the flooring. Should an individual piece of Bamboo Flooring be doubtful as to grade or finish, the installer should not use this individual piece.

 

IMPORTANT before installation:

The Bamboo Flooring should be delivered to the job-site at least 48 hours before installation. The boxes should be opened and the heating or air-conditioning turned on so the Bamboo Flooring can acclimate to its environment .

Recommended conditions are:

Floor Surface: Minimum15°C (59°F)

Air Temperature: Minimum18°C (64.4°F)

Air Humidity: Maximum75%

Do not unload the Bamboo Flooring during wet conditions such as rain etc...

Moisture absorbed by the flooring boards will cause them to swell. If installed before acclimatization, then the boards later will automatically shrink back to the shape of their original moisture content. Shrinkage may produce gaps. Gaps produce problems with the finished floor system.

 

Installing methods:

Bamboo Flooring should be installed in a manner similar to that used to other types of solid hardwood flooring products. While laying the Bamboo Flooring allow at least 1 cm (0.4in) space from the walls and projections which rise from the floor such as pipes, pillars etc...

Before installation the installer must be sure that the sub-floor is solid, level (maximum 5mm/meter or 0.06in/ft), clean and dry. It is recommended that the difference between the moisture level of the sub-floor and the Bamboo Flooring should be no more than 4%.

Bamboo Flooring is a product of nature. Because of the natural color variation in Bamboo Flooring from piece to piece. It is important to work out of four to five boxes at the same time to combine a beautiful blend of shading.

 

Glueing method: very important that the installer is working on a flat, clean and dry base floor. When the base is ready to use, glue the Bamboo Flooring over the existing concrete slab or a wooden based sub-floor, using good quality glue

recommended by professional floor finishers.

Nailing method: abt 30mm (1.18in) long flooring nails or abt 30mm (1.18in) long flooring staples with abt 10mm (0.39in) crown may be used to install 15mm (0.59in)thick Bamboo Flooring. These fasteners are installed using pneumatic or mechanically operated floor naJling guns. A rubber faced hammer is used to drive each board rightly against its neighbour without using any force and the nail or staple is fired through the tongue of the Bamboo Flooring and into the sub-floor. Proper spacing between nails or staples is quite critical. Recommended nail or staple spacings are abt 20cm (7.88in) apart along the length of each floor board. Each floor board is recommended to be nailed or stapled at least abt 10cm (3.94IN) away from each end of of the board.

This Bamboo flooring comes with a top quality layer of varnish, either Gloss finish,Satin or Mat. No need to sand and finish it, simply install directly the Bamboo Flooring on the floor.

The BambooFloorihg is also suitable to be installed on warm-water floor heating system.

In case Bamboo Flooring comes without any finish at all, so then sanding and finishing need to be applied on the flooring. It is obvious that the techniques for sanding and finishing require high skill and the best results may be obtained by employing professional floor finishers.

This Bamboo Flooring is made from the highest quality bamboo available. It has stability ,properties that exceed most wood flooring products.

Bamboo Flooring however is a solid. natural product and will naturally expand when exposed to moisture although usually less than similar solid wood flooring. So it is of extreme importance not to expose the Bamboo Flooring to excessive humidity. The expansion and contraction is not considered a defect .
